Planning a baby shower: Theme?

I believe that a theme to a baby shower is HUGE! It the foundation on which you build. For a few weeks before I decided what theme the baby shower would be, I browsed on Pinterest. There were super cute girl themed showers, super cute boy themed showers, but the shower I was throwing was for a surprise baby. I’m so excited to find out the gender and what a great surprise for the parents :-). I was never that patient! I found out the sex of my kids right away! Lol!

I found a theme ‘She’s ready to POP!’ and the inspiration bug hit me!!!! Kids were welcome at the shower(my kids are always with me) And I instantly thought of all the fun thing that go along with POP!

I am a huge supporter of local businesses when I can. I had heard if a local popcorn company and thought that a shower with this theme would be amazing! Talk about easy peasy! I picked up a Popcorn tower from gatlyn popcorn company and decided to get the following flavors: Bacon, jalapeño-BBQ, garlic Parmesan, pizza, lemon pound cake, and confusion(Apple, grape, blue raspberry, orange, and cherry). Yum! They have about 40 different flavors!!!

The menu: Popcorn, pop tarts, ring pops, pop rocks, and cake pops!

How can you have a party without balloons? Balloons add so much fun, are easy(especially if you don’t want to tape anything to the ceiling).

Hi! My name is Dominique and I’m lucky enough to be the wife to my True Love and mother to a little girl and a little boy. I grew up in the Midwest but have loved living in NC, our new home.

I’m actually an Industrial Engineer by schooling, but am now a domestic engineer(Stay-at-home-Mom) and feel very blessed to have this job.

I have always loved the challenge in making the most of things…whether it’s figuring out that a filing cabinet , a $10 piece of countertop and a few scraps of wood can be turned into a desk, that a curtain sheer, some ribbon, and a square piece of fabric can be transformed into an Elsa-like dress, or how to provide an interesting lunch for my little girl who is in a peanut free classroom. I love to figure things out and to create.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts. I hope that my posts will inspire you to create. I hope that with my posts you will see that They Will Love Your Effort, whether things turn our perfect or not;-)
