As a mom of an elementary student, I pack a lunch for my daughter everyday. It can be so hard to want to pack it, but thankfully I use the ziplock divided containers so it makes my job a lot easier….3 spots…fit grain, protein, veggie, and fruit into three spots…check.

As I cleaned up our dinner tonight, I surveyed our fridge for possible
lunch items. We had a small end of a block of cheese, a huge monster carrot, and a ton of oranges(we shop at Costco so you can only imagine the quantity!!! Lol).

I grabbed my cutting board out to alive up the cheese and grabbed my lunchbox tool kit:-). It has all sorts of mini cookie cutters, rice mold, regular cookie cutter, a a pie mold, etc…My daughter had very sweetly asked for rabbits in her lunch, so I grabbed the two mini bunny cookie cutters (to use on cheese slices), and I then I saw the tulip cookie cutter and decided that since I was going to have to chop up the carrot to make it edible, I might as well just do one more step and use a mini tulip cookie cutter.

So lunch tomorrow for my daughter will be: bunny cheese, tulip carrots, orange slices, and some crackers:-).

So….easy, only three extra dishes to do(the three mini cookie cutters), quick, already had the cut items sitting on a cutting board after slicing them, and fun!!!!

Hi! My name is Dominique and I'm lucky enough to be the wife to my True Love and mother to a little girl and a little boy. I grew up in the Midwest but have loved living in NC, our new home. I'm actually an Industrial Engineer by schooling, but am now a domestic engineer(Stay-at-home-Mom) and feel very blessed to have this job. I have always loved the challenge in making the most of things...whether it's figuring out that a filing cabinet , a $10 piece of countertop and a few scraps of wood can be turned into a desk, that a curtain sheer, some ribbon, and a square piece of fabric can be transformed into an Elsa-like dress, or how to provide an interesting lunch for my little girl who is in a peanut free classroom. I love to figure things out and to create. I hope you enjoy reading my posts. I hope that my posts will inspire you to create. I hope that with my posts you will see that They Will Love Your Effort, whether things turn our perfect or not;-)
