Lunch 5/2 An Improved Lunchable

My daughter helped pack her lunch for tomorrow:

String cheese stick, three slices of turkey, corn, crackers, and oranges.

My daughter may or may not eat everything during her lunch. Whatever she doesn’t eat during her lunch period, she will usually then eat for afternoon snack…by choice:-)

She really wanted a lunchable for lunch today. Just a lunchable, the way it comes. So, I got her one so she could try it. I had to take out treat, Reece’s peanut butter cup, because of her nut free classroom, so this is what the lunchable looked like:

After having a lunchable, my daughter told me she really missed having her fruits and veggies. The lunchable cost $2 on sale. While I appreciate the convenience of lunchables, it just left me feeling like so incomplete…and my daughter. If I do ever send a lunchable, we have an understanding that she can bring with whatever fruits and veggies she wants. I will say that the lunchable is a great base on which to build if you don’t want to think about buying basics, but it so much more affordable to build your own;-)

Hi! My name is Dominique and I'm lucky enough to be the wife to my True Love and mother to a little girl and a little boy. I grew up in the Midwest but have loved living in NC, our new home. I'm actually an Industrial Engineer by schooling, but am now a domestic engineer(Stay-at-home-Mom) and feel very blessed to have this job. I have always loved the challenge in making the most of things...whether it's figuring out that a filing cabinet , a $10 piece of countertop and a few scraps of wood can be turned into a desk, that a curtain sheer, some ribbon, and a square piece of fabric can be transformed into an Elsa-like dress, or how to provide an interesting lunch for my little girl who is in a peanut free classroom. I love to figure things out and to create. I hope you enjoy reading my posts. I hope that my posts will inspire you to create. I hope that with my posts you will see that They Will Love Your Effort, whether things turn our perfect or not;-)
