Honest moment: I have super super SUPER fine straight hair. I have spent my whole life searching for cute hair accessories that actually STAY IN MY HAIR! Truth be told, I got so frustrated with most all of my hair clips falling out of my hair that I tried to solve with lining all of my hair accessories with hot glue to give it some ‘grip’.  I started to do this with all my daughter’s hair bows as well.

One of my friends is a Lilla Rose representative and had given me two of her products to review and keep, a hair band and a flexi mini clip:-)

You all have seen the pictures of my chopped short hairdo. It’s super short but with longer bangs in the front. I LOVE my hairdo, but sometimes I get a little frustrated. I chose the headband and mini flex clip as a possible solution for my short hair ‘in my face while trying to live’ issue.  I’m not sure about you, BUT…I LOVE my long-ish bangs when I’m trying to look really good, but HATE them when I need to do stuff and want to look good at the same time.  My bang things are falling in my face and they’re just not long enough to fully go behind my ears :-/.

REVIEW:  I was completely shocked at these products.  It must be the beading that they use, because the items did not slide out of my hair or my daughters.  The clip gripped right into my hair and stayed there until I removed it.  It took me a few tries to fully understand how to put the flexi mini clip into my hair.  There are actually three notches for you to figure out which ‘grip’ will work best for you.  I have been so pleasantly surprised by these that I have been shopping the catalog and am going to put an order in soon:-)  I just love how it’s so simple and just pretty.  The ones that I had chosen were simple and literally match everything that I own.  Since I wear mostly neutral colors, I’m looking forward to adding more of the color items.

Another honest moment:  I was kind of worried these clips and hairbands would not stay in my hair.  It didn’t have anything ‘sticky’ to hold my hair.   Super excited that it totally shot down any skepticism that I had.

I actually cannot wait till my hair is a little bit longer to be able to use more of these products.  The bigger clips offer a great alternative to a hairband.   This would be perfect for my husband for putting my daughter’s hair up into a pony tail instead of pulling her hair to try and get it into a hairband:-)

Hi! My name is Dominique and I'm lucky enough to be the wife to my True Love and mother to a little girl and a little boy. I grew up in the Midwest but have loved living in NC, our new home. I'm actually an Industrial Engineer by schooling, but am now a domestic engineer(Stay-at-home-Mom) and feel very blessed to have this job. I have always loved the challenge in making the most of things...whether it's figuring out that a filing cabinet , a $10 piece of countertop and a few scraps of wood can be turned into a desk, that a curtain sheer, some ribbon, and a square piece of fabric can be transformed into an Elsa-like dress, or how to provide an interesting lunch for my little girl who is in a peanut free classroom. I love to figure things out and to create. I hope you enjoy reading my posts. I hope that my posts will inspire you to create. I hope that with my posts you will see that They Will Love Your Effort, whether things turn our perfect or not;-)
