I love ice cream. I’m not ashamed to admit it. It’s just so delicious offering a flavor for every mood.
However, have you ever looked at what a serving size is…1/2 cup for 150 calories?!?!?? I know the First Lady Michele Obama has worked with correcting serving size, but that still doesn’t prevent me from simply scooping my ice cream to enjoy.
A very smart friend of mine had told me how she enjoys pudding in her wine glasses since she couldn’t enjoy wine at night with her husband working 2nd shift.
I took her brilliant ideation heart and have made my white wine glasses my ice cream bowls:-)
Doesn’t that look so much more appetizing, pretty, and fulfilling than a 1/8 full bowl?:-)
I believe that you shouldn’t deny yourself treats that you like. How on Earth could I go through life without having ice cream? No fun! I don’t want to tell my kids no no no no all the time. I want to be able to show them that things in moderation, it’s ok:-). Serving it in something fun is a great way to control portion sizing and get your special treat!
