My Secret to Packing Light AND Traveling With Kids

We love to travel. When you travel with children, it’s hard to predict how much clothes your children might need.

I pack all of us four outfits, and enough underwear and socks for our trip. Then, I pack my secret weapon…3-1 Purex sheets!

3-1 Purex sheets are amazing. It’s a single sheet that contains detergent and fabric/anti static. 20140721-181850-65930211.jpg

The first time we used these, I remember being on travel with our kids and one of them had a terrible accident at the beginning of our trip and we wanted to wash the item….not just rinse it. We thought about getting a small bottle of laundry detergent, but were bummed at the thought of throwing away the majority of it. We thought we would probably do laundry a few times during after trip(judging by how fast our kids were going through their clothes) . Then we found the Purex 3-1 sheets and were THRILLED!

Every time we travel, I pack 4-5 Purex 3-1 sheets with us. They take up very little room and are a great way to ensure you can do laundry if you want to:-).

***My children and I have sensitive skin and have never had any issues with our clothes being washed in it:-).

I cannot even tell you how empowering it feels as a mom to fit clothes for myself and my two children in one piece of luggage and NOT go overweight(over 50 pounds) and be packed for a two or three week trip!

Remember…They Will Love Your Effort<3

Hi! My name is Dominique and I’m lucky enough to be the wife to my True Love and mother to a little girl and a little boy. I grew up in the Midwest but have loved living in NC, our new home.

I’m actually an Industrial Engineer by schooling, but am now a domestic engineer(Stay-at-home-Mom) and feel very blessed to have this job.

I have always loved the challenge in making the most of things…whether it’s figuring out that a filing cabinet , a $10 piece of countertop and a few scraps of wood can be turned into a desk, that a curtain sheer, some ribbon, and a square piece of fabric can be transformed into an Elsa-like dress, or how to provide an interesting lunch for my little girl who is in a peanut free classroom. I love to figure things out and to create.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts. I hope that my posts will inspire you to create. I hope that with my posts you will see that They Will Love Your Effort, whether things turn our perfect or not;-)
