Lunches for the week of 9/8

Well…my experiment with freezing lunch meat has been BEYOND SUCCESSFUL!!!! My daughter has been packing her own lunches every day and puts the frozen lunch meat in her lunch the night before. By lunchtime, the meat is thawed and perfect!!!!! Eeeee!!!!!IMG_8666.JPG

So far every day this week with the exception of tomorrow, she has had lunch meat, cucumbers, pita chips, and a peach. Sometimes she’s also had an applesauce squeeze and Rice Krispie treat, and for tomorrow she’ll have grapes instead of a peach because we’re out.

I’m just so proud that she’ll eat this. Another thing to add to the list on our protein rotation. Now our protein rotation is cooked chicken cubes, cheeses(string cheese, sliced cheese, cream cheese), and hummus:-). Whew!!!!

She’s having a great time knowing that she is keeping her friends with allergies safe and that she can sit next to whomever she wants<3. As a parent, I'm always relieved to see that packing a lunch is not any more work or $$ to make it safe for everyone around her:-) Remember....They Will Love Your Effort<3

Hi! My name is Dominique and I’m lucky enough to be the wife to my True Love and mother to a little girl and a little boy. I grew up in the Midwest but have loved living in NC, our new home.

I’m actually an Industrial Engineer by schooling, but am now a domestic engineer(Stay-at-home-Mom) and feel very blessed to have this job.

I have always loved the challenge in making the most of things…whether it’s figuring out that a filing cabinet , a $10 piece of countertop and a few scraps of wood can be turned into a desk, that a curtain sheer, some ribbon, and a square piece of fabric can be transformed into an Elsa-like dress, or how to provide an interesting lunch for my little girl who is in a peanut free classroom. I love to figure things out and to create.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts. I hope that my posts will inspire you to create. I hope that with my posts you will see that They Will Love Your Effort, whether things turn our perfect or not;-)
