Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

This is one of my most favorite times of the year! I love being with all of my family and all the wonderful traditions that go along with it!

I love bouncing from family event to family event.

I love seeing my children react to the magic of Christmas. My son, who is 3, is having a hard time grasping what Christmas is…he just fully understood that he gets presents for HIS birthday….after explaining Jesus and Santa and presents, he’s all jumbled in an adorable way! Seeing my daughter explain it all is even cuter! Right now he says Santa’s going to bring him presents for Jesus’ birthday(sometimes he says his own birthday). He does however adore looking at and playing with all the various nativity sets we’ve been around. “Mom! I see baby Jesus!!!!” Adorable!!!

I cannot wait till we exchange presents!!! Shhhhh!!! We bought our children mostly books and then two toys each. We read books every night. My daughter’s reading has taken off this year, and I love seeing her read and question! It’s also the best guaranteed way to calm my son down so they are getting a lot of books.

I got myself a bunch of beautiful encyclopedias! One on world history, one on geography, one on science(which even includes quizzes!!!), and one on world religion!!! I’m beyond excited to start reading all of these! I always loved learning and since my daughter has hit that inquisitive stage where I really need to tell her THE RIGHT answer, I’m thrilled to have these amazing references with great illustrations<3. My husband is getting a book of homemade coupons:-). He loves racing so we made him 'tickets':-). It's become a great family tradition of ours to go to our favorite bbq place that has live bluegrass music at night and then to the races! It's really the perfect gift for him. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season celebrating what's special to you!!! Remember....They Will Love Your Effort<3

Hi! My name is Dominique and I’m lucky enough to be the wife to my True Love and mother to a little girl and a little boy. I grew up in the Midwest but have loved living in NC, our new home.

I’m actually an Industrial Engineer by schooling, but am now a domestic engineer(Stay-at-home-Mom) and feel very blessed to have this job.

I have always loved the challenge in making the most of things…whether it’s figuring out that a filing cabinet , a $10 piece of countertop and a few scraps of wood can be turned into a desk, that a curtain sheer, some ribbon, and a square piece of fabric can be transformed into an Elsa-like dress, or how to provide an interesting lunch for my little girl who is in a peanut free classroom. I love to figure things out and to create.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts. I hope that my posts will inspire you to create. I hope that with my posts you will see that They Will Love Your Effort, whether things turn our perfect or not;-)
