East Coast Vacation!

There are so many amazing things to see and do along the East Coast.  On our trip to my cousin’s wedding, we decided to make it a nice family vacation.

Our first stop was to Pottsville Pennsylvania.  This town is home to America’s oldest brewery, Yuengling, which also happens to be the longest family held brewery in America as well.

The picture above shows my daughter walking into the heart of the hand cut cave that was used to ferment the beer.

The picture below shows the brick wall which the government erred during the prohibition to prevent the brewery from accessing their beer.

The picture below shows my daughter pointing out which cans she  thinks will end up in our friend’s fridge.
The nice about the Yuengling brewery tour is that at the end not only are there samples for adults, but they also offer birch beer for kids(like rootbeer).  My kid thought it was awesome that there was something for them!

After our tour we headed off for family time at my cousin’s wedding!

My cousin’s wedding was absolutely breathtaking!  She was such a beautiful bride that my son now refers to her as a princess.  Her groom was all smiles and you could just see the love that they have for each other radiating off of them<3

My children had so much fun at the reception!  My son hit the dance floor and never left it.  So much fun!!!!  Here is him reflecting about the wedding day:-)

After our wedding fun we hit Washington DC for some great fun!  It’s incredible that there are so many treasures to see for FREE!!!!  We went to the Washington monument, WWII Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean Memorial, and then went to several of the Smithsonian museums.

Between the American History, Air and Space, and Natural History museums my kids are truly awe inspired.

Our trip ended with more visiting with family.  We were so lucky that everything lined up and that our family had been so accomodating.  Our kids had such a great time!

Hi! My name is Dominique and I’m lucky enough to be the wife to my True Love and mother to a little girl and a little boy. I grew up in the Midwest but have loved living in NC, our new home.

I’m actually an Industrial Engineer by schooling, but am now a domestic engineer(Stay-at-home-Mom) and feel very blessed to have this job.

I have always loved the challenge in making the most of things…whether it’s figuring out that a filing cabinet , a $10 piece of countertop and a few scraps of wood can be turned into a desk, that a curtain sheer, some ribbon, and a square piece of fabric can be transformed into an Elsa-like dress, or how to provide an interesting lunch for my little girl who is in a peanut free classroom. I love to figure things out and to create.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts. I hope that my posts will inspire you to create. I hope that with my posts you will see that They Will Love Your Effort, whether things turn our perfect or not;-)
